The sacred Lamb,
The great – “I Am,”
On Calvary Hill,
Between two thieves,
The Prince of Peace was crucified.
On passover Friday, Lord Jesus died.

For three long days
And three dark nights
The body of Jesus
Lay wrapped in white.
His body lay within a tomb.
His body was buried, His life consumed.

On Easter morn,
The hollow grave
Was proof that we
Have all been save.
The resurrected Lord appeared,
And now the grave will hold no fear.
Our Easter joy is now unfurled
For Christ has overcome the world!
